Casegood Limited Warranty

Theodore Alexander USA, Inc. (“TA”) warrants its casegood (“casegoods”) products under normal residential use against defect in materials and workmanship to the original (qualified dealer) for one (1) year from the date of the initial shipment to a Theodore Alexander USA, Inc. authorized dealer. This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from negligence, misuse or accidents.

NATURAL MATERIALS

Many casegood products produced by TA are made with a variety of natural materials. These include, but are not limited to, various wood and plant species, stones and minerals, and shells. TA warrants such materials to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of original purchase. These natural materials may produce different physical qualities from piece to piece and may change over time. These qualities and changes are to be expected and not considered defects and are not covered by the warranty. These qualities and changes can include, but not limited to, the below:

Differences in grain or vein character and color
Hairline cracks in highly figured veneers that will appear over time
Natural color and grain variations in lumber or veneer
Color changes from exposure to direct sunlight and/or extreme temperatures

FABRICS / LEATHERS / UPHOLSTERY MATERIALS

There are some casegood products produced by TA that contain fabrics, leathers, cushions and other filling materials including, but not limited to, beds, chairs, benches, and ottomans. To the original (qualified dealer) purchaser, our upholstery fabrics are warranted against defective material or workmanship for one (1) year under normal residential care and use.

Some Leathers may contain insect bites, scratches, wrinkles, scars, color variations and other markings that occur in nature and are not considered defects and not covered under warranty.

This warranty does not cover fading, pilling, or shrinkage and is not valid where there is evidence of heavy soiling or abuse. Fabric damage or failure due to chemical treatment or improper cleaning is also excluded from this warranty.
